How to determine the correct length of a dog ramp for your pet?

There is no formula for calculating the length of dog ramps. Each dog or cat has there own limitations on what angle they can climb with the dog ramp. As a pet owner, you know your pets abilities better than anyone. The easiest way to determine the length of dog truck ramp that is needed is to hold a tape measure at the top of the vehicle's floor/step and pull the tape measure tight to the ground at an angle.
