Want to haul your motorcycle but don't want the problems of pulling a trailer? Well the VersaHaul is the ultimate solution. The VersaHaul VH-55 is a motorcycle and dirt bike carrier, which mounts using your vehicle's two-inch receiver. Simply roll your motorcycle up the carrier's ramp and use straps to secure your bike. The optional ramp stores right on the carrier. Your motorcycle then rides safely behind your vehicle. This high quality carrier includes an anti tilt locking device to remove play from the receiver and has a 500 lb capacity. Light duty suspension systems may require air shocks or helper springs to avoid rear end sag from the heavy load on the rear of the vehicle.
The VersaHaul single motorcycle carriers are now being manufactured to tow a small vehicle or light trailer. The main tube was not designed to carry tongue weight. It is only suitable for towing trailers and small vehicles where there is no tongue weight exerted on the hitch. The towing capacity of the main tube is 1/3 of the towing capacity of your hitch. Do not tow over 3000 lbs with the product.
Motorcycle Carrier Product Limitations:
- Carrier Carrying Capacity: The VH-55 carrier is designed to safely carry 500 lbs
- Hitch Weigh Limit: Most Class III hitches are rated for 500 lbs - Most Class IV hitches are rated for 1000 lbs
- Vehicle Hauling Capacity: Your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's capacity to carry a load
- Towing Capacity: The VH-55 has a Class III hitch on the end of the carrier - Max towing weight (regardless of your vehicle) is 3000 lbs
- Will not work with Class II or smaller receivers
- Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension to prevent sagging
- Please check with your dealer to find out your vehicle's carrying capacity
- NOT recommended for 5th wheel trailers
- Helix, Reflex, Majestic, Gold Wing, and Burgman scooters cannot be carried by a VH-55 due to their length (not weight). A VH-SPORT carrier is needed instead.
